Previously, George served as the executive director of Sierra Club BC, one of the province's oldest environmental advocacy and education organizations and held three terms as president of the BC Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU). Recognized as a skilled negotiator, he also imparted his knowledge as a faculty member at Simon Fraser University, teaching multi-party negotiations and collaborative decision-making. Having lived in Terrace, George has worked extensively across B.C.'s northwest and coastal regions. A passionate advocate, he champions a wide range of issues from health care and education to environmental responsibility, climate action, and the pursuit of a more sustainable, modern, and diverse economy.​​​<br></p></div>, George Heyman
