Maginnis Cocivera, a registered Architect in BC and Alberta, is unwavering in his mission: to counteract climate change with Zero Carbon buildings, innovate housing solutions, and craft meaningful spaces. Maginnis' architectural journey began in Milan, collaborating with Mario Bellini on the Louvre Hall of Islamic Arts Competition. Later, he contributed to pioneering sustainable projects with Busby Perkins + Will in Vancouver, notably Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 and the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability at UBC. Further deepening his expertise in housing during his tenure as VP Development at Polygon Homes, Maginnis champions an eco-conscious perspective, seeing waste as a resource. His visionary 'Energy Harvesting Infrastructure' design, which won the Closing the Loop Design Competition in 2006, exemplifies this, marrying wastewater processing with sustainable energy and food production.

https://zwc.ca/speakers/PublishingImages/maginnis-cocivera.png, T.
